Museum of Risorgimento

There is a sections dedicated to Goffredo Mameli and the National Anthem
Museum of Risorgimento

The Museum of Risorgimento was reopened on the occasion of the Mazzinian Bicentenary with a renewed exhibition itinerary and is housed in what was the birthplace of Giuseppe Mazzini. It is located in the historical center of Genoa just a few steps away from Via Balbi (go to the route 1).

It preserves documents and Risorgimento memorabilia (autographs, objects, uniforms, flags, etc.) that illustrate a historical journey from Balilla to the Jacobins, to the Ligurian Republic, to Young Italy, to 1848, to the wars for Independence, to the enterprise of the Thousand , in Rome Capital.

The sections dedicated to Goffredo Mameli and the National Anthem, of which the autograph is on display, and the one featuring Garibaldi and his epic story, are noteworthy.

The chronological itinerary intertwines with moments  of in-depth study of particular themes and characters, with the support of multimedia installations.
