Genoa despite being a great city offers many possibilities to go to the sea thanks to the many free beaches, beach clubs, cliffs and terraces in the city boundaries. In the summer season are all very popular places, some even in the evening. The most beautiful beaches to spend a day at the sea in Genoa are the beach of Vesima<\/b> on the border with Arenzano, the most surprising among the city beaches, and the beaches of Quinto and Murcarolo<\/b> a few steps from each other in the east of Genoa. Unlike Vesima, the latter are already incorporated into the urban context.<\/p>

Going deeper into the city, in the western area you can go to the sea in Pegli with its bathing establishments or Voltri. <\/b>The nearest beaches to the center are the beach resorts of Corso Italia<\/b> to enjoy the sun and services and the small beach of Boccadasse,<\/b> surrounded by the characteristic colorful houses and the clubs and restaurants by the sea.<\/p>

Behind Boccadasse are the beach of Vernazzola <\/b>and a few steps from the beach of Sturla. From Sturla along the driveway, the places to go to the sea are different; the rocks of Quarto and the terraces of the Monument, the beach of <\/span>Priaruggia,<\/b><\/span> the bathing establishments and the terraces between Quarto and Quinto, the rocks and the establishments along the <\/span>Promenade of Nervi <\/b><\/span>and the small beach of <\/span>Capolungo <\/b><\/span>at the end of the walk. <\/span><\/p>

If you want to go to the sea in the city and spend the evening on the beach, Boccadasse and the nearby Corso Italia, Pegli to the west and the marina of Nervi to the east, a few steps from the beaches of Quinto and Murcarolo, are the main landmarks (go to the page<\/a> about what to do at night in Genoa).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Leaving the city boarders, the beautiful beaches near Genoa offer crystal clear waters and characteristic landscapes of the Ligurian Riviera, a destination for tourists from all over the world. Among these surely the beaches of the Natural Park of Portofino<\/a> that includes Santa Margherita Ligure, Paraggi, San Fruttuoso and Camogli<\/b>. They are easily accessible by train from the center of Genoa in less than an hour.<\/p>

By car it doesn\u2019t take much to get to Genoa and the landscapes of the Aurelia and the panoramic route are worth the trip, but in the summer season finding parking is never easy. The beaches of the Riviera closest to the city are to the west the beaches of <\/span>Arenzano<\/b><\/span> and <\/span>Cogoleto <\/b><\/span><\/a>(half an hour\/forty minutes from Principe) and to the east the beach of <\/span>Bogliasco<\/b><\/span><\/a> (twenty minutes from Brignole), smaller than the two west, but in all three cases with offer of establishments, free beaches and beach clubs to spend the evening at the beach. <\/span>Not far from Bogliasco, there is Pieve Ligure <\/b>with its cliffs and beautiful terraces on the sea that can be reached by going down the mule tracks from the Aurelia. Half an hour by train from Genoa, do not forget the beach of Sori<\/a>,<\/b> one of the most frequented by Genoese. In one hour by train from Brignole, you can also reach the beautiful beaches of Sestri Levante<\/b><\/a>, the “bay of silence” and the “bay of fairy tales”.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

How to reach the beaches<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

To go to the sea in Genoa the best way to move is by train<\/b>. The two stations <\/span>Genova Principe<\/b><\/span> and <\/span>Genova Brignole<\/b><\/span> are located in the city center. <\/span>From Piazza De Ferrari station Brignole is less than a quarter of an hour walk or a few minutes by bus. And from Brignole in ten minutes you can reach the beaches of Quinto and in twenty minutes\/ half an hour the beach of Bogliasco and Sori. <\/span>Starting from the Ferry Terminal Principe station is a few minutes (from the Old Port and the Old Town can be reached on foot by going up Via Balbi) and the beaches of Vesima to the west and Bogliasco to the east are half an hour by train. Starting from Genoa Airport the nearest beaches for a day at the sea are the beaches of Vesima and Arenzano. By train from <\/span>Genoa Sestri Ponente station \/ Airport<\/b><\/span> (<\/span>Genova Sestri Ponente \/ Aeroporto) <\/b><\/span>are just twenty minutes and in less than half an hour you can reach the beaches of Cogoleto. <\/span>Even closer to the promenade of Pegli, a few minutes by train, a quarter of an hour by bus number 1. Moving from the center by bus<\/b>, to go to the sea in the east of Genoa take the area Brignole 15, which stops near all the beaches, cliffs and terraces from Sturla to Quinto, or the 17 that goes direct to Nervi. From Porto Antico you can reach Pegli by sea with the Navebus in half an hour, or by bus 1 both Pegli and Voltri<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
